What installation includes

A solar installation in Dubai is more than fixing panels to a roof. Because every grid-connected system runs through DEWA's Shams Dubai programme, the work includes the survey, the design, the DEWA approvals, the installation itself, the inspection and the meter. As an enrolled contractor, we carry every stage as standard scope.

What decides the right system for your villa

Typical villa systems in Dubai run from about 5 to 30 kWp. The right size for your home comes from your bills and roof, which our UAE solar calculator and quotation engine work out in minutes.

Why dust matters after installation

Dust settles on panels quickly in Dubai and measurably reduces output between cleans. We design tilt and row spacing for cleaning access, monitor at string level so soiling shows up early, and set a cleaning schedule based on the site's exposure.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need DEWA approval to install solar panels in Dubai?

Yes. Grid-connected solar in Dubai must be designed and installed by a contractor enrolled with DEWA under Shams Dubai. The contractor handles the NOC, design approval, inspection and meter installation for you.

How long does solar panel installation take in Dubai?

Most of the time is in DEWA approvals rather than on the roof. Villa systems typically move from contract to generation in a matter of weeks; commercial systems take longer because design approval is more involved.

Does DEWA pay me for the electricity my panels export?

No. Shams Dubai is net metering, not a feed-in tariff. Exported units are credited against the units you use, and unused credits carry forward to later bills.

Can I install any solar panels I choose?

No. Modules and inverters must be on DEWA's approved equipment list and carry MoIAT ECAS conformity. Systems built with unlisted equipment cannot be connected.

Can I install solar on a villa I rent?

The application needs the property owner's involvement, because the system is fixed to the building. Tenants should approach it together with the landlord.
