Solar & Storage EPC across Asia
Central Asia is building at scale with Gulf capital already deeply involved. South Asia is large, sophisticated and regulated in detail. Two very different propositions.
- Central Asia
- Auction-driven, Gulf-backed
- South Asia
- Regulated, price-competitive
- Climate range
- Desert to severe winter
- Our model
- EPC + Finance
The market
Central Asia
Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are procuring at scale through auctions and IPP structures, with Emirati and Saudi developers among the most active sponsors. A UAE-headquartered contractor aligns naturally with that capital.
South Asia
Pakistan has moved from net metering to net billing, which changes system design fundamentally. India runs a detailed compliance regime through ALMM, BIS and CEA standards with connection set state by state.
Do not carry a Gulf design across these borders. Kazakhstan has severe winters that change mounting, snow loading and battery thermal management. Pakistan's net billing makes export nearly worthless and storage nearly essential. India restricts which modules may lawfully be installed. Each of these invalidates a template designed for Dubai.
Who governs a project here
| Function | Body |
|---|---|
| Central Asia route | Competitive auctions and IPP tenders |
| South Asia route | State-level connection, national compliance regimes |
| Common funding | IFIs, World Bank, Gulf sponsors |

Frequently asked questions
Which Asian markets do you cover?
We publish detailed pages for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and India, and work in additional markets on a project basis.
Why does a Gulf contractor suit Central Asia?
Emirati and Saudi developers are among the most active sponsors of Central Asian renewable projects, so a UAE-headquartered EPC contractor aligns with the capital financing them.
Can a Gulf solar design be used in Central Asia?
No. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan combine strong irradiation with severe winters, which changes module selection, mounting design, snow loading and battery thermal management compared with desert installations.
