Solar & Storage EPC in India
India is the most regulated solar market we work in and the most state-fragmented. Compliance is not a formality here โ ALMM and BIS determine what you are permitted to install.

The market
India runs a genuinely national policy framework through MNRE, but connection, net metering rules and tariffs are set at state level by each electricity regulatory commission and administered by the state DISCOM. A design that works in Punjab may not be permitted in Karnataka.
Layered on top is equipment compliance. The Approved List of Models and Manufacturers and BIS certification govern what may lawfully be installed on supported projects, and CEA technical standards govern the electrical design. Getting the compliance pathway wrong does not delay a project โ it invalidates it.
Where we are honest about our position. India has a large, capable and price-competitive domestic EPC sector. We do not pretend to undercut it on standard rooftop work. Our relevance is in cross-border projects, Gulf-linked industrial groups with Indian operations, and financing structures for larger assets.

Where we fit
Cross-border industrial projects, captive and open-access generation for large consumers, battery storage, and EPC-plus-financing for assets where international capital structuring adds value.
What we deliver
- Utility-scale solar EPC, 20 to 200 MWp
- Battery energy storage, 1 MWh commercial to 500 MWh grid scale
- Commercial and industrial rooftop and ground-mount PV
- EPC-plus-financing structured with international partners and DFIs, including Shariah-compliant options
- Feasibility, grid studies and bankable tender packages
- Long-term operations and maintenance
Frequently asked questions
What is ALMM in India?
The Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. Along with BIS certification, it governs which solar modules and equipment may lawfully be installed on supported projects in India.
Is net metering the same across India?
No. Policy is set nationally through MNRE, but net metering rules, tariffs and connection processes are determined at state level by each electricity regulatory commission and administered by the state DISCOM.
Why would an international contractor work in India?
India has a large and price-competitive domestic EPC sector, so the international role is generally in cross-border projects, Gulf-linked industrial groups with Indian operations, and financing structures for larger assets rather than standard rooftop work.
